Grilled salmon with garlic lime butter sauce

This is a delicious and easy sauce that's great on grilled salmon (or probably almost any grilled fish).

To grill salmon on a BBQ:

  • Turn BBQ to medium heat
  • Pat salmon filet(s) dry with a paper towel. Remove bones if there are any and if you want to (pull out from side with tweezers).
  • Brush grill with olive oil, then place salmon skin-side down.
  • Close lid of grill and leave for about 10 minutes or until the top of the salmon is cooked enough that the fat starts to bead up on top (looks like mayonnaise).
  • Remove from grill.
While or before salmon is cooking, mix the following:
  • 1/2 garlic clove (chopped or minced)
  • 1/8 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
Puree all together with a blender for about 30 seconds. Pour over salmon once salmon is cooked. If you make it in advance, just stir again before serving. This amount serves about 4.
